Hi. Can you introduce Beautiful Sundays project to our readers?
Hi!!! We are Beautiful Sundays from Buenos Aires, Argentina! We are a hc punk band who wants to change things by the music! We want to play all around the world to show our music, our ideas and to prove to everyone that anyone could do it! That is what we like about punk anyone can do it! And everyone can help to make the world a better place!
Where did you get inspiration for your music? Tell us something about the direction your music is taking.
We took inspirations from our lives.. and from people who really wants to change things.. we sing to all ages and we sing about love, about human rights, and we are very involved in causes.. like gays rigths, violence against women, abortion.. we think that maybe one of our songs could help to someone and make their think “maybe i can have a band” “ maybe i can make a fanzine” that is what we want!
Which artists have influenced your style & sound, if any?
We are influenced by artists like the ramones, the smiths, fun people, she devils, a litlle bit of sonic youth, rvivr.. we put all together and voilà! There you have Beautiful Sundays sound! But also we are very influenced by books, writers and people who make amazing things to help and take care the world!
What’s the best live music show you’ve seen recently?
We love some new under bands in argentina! Like PSOAS or TRAMONTINA but if you want to enjoy a nice perfomance you have to see Los Caidos live! They are very good! We are always in tour with them so we can enjoy their shows!
On Livetrigger.com you define your genre punk rock-hardcore. What does it mean to be a punk rock-hc band today?
We think that everything is about commitment! Because you have to be responsibly with your acts! We sing song about violence against women, and we go to manifestation for that! We sing about abortion and we make concertos to give information, we make fanzines! We are really involved with the things that we sing! We are not a punk band who only wants to play or be a star.. we are working for a better things and this genre of music is the best way to feel free to do that!
What’s the best live act in your city? Tell us something about it.
There are to many bands to see here! But you can check a nice festival called “DESTRUYE SUDAMERICA” last year we put in thhat concert bands from Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile and bands from here! That festival was awesome! Was sold out and over there was the best live acts from that cities..was really great!
Do you plan to have a tour in the next future? Tell us something about it.
Now we are making our third album, amd making tours here in argentina and in contries like Brazil and Chile or maybe Peru..we are hoping to tour in Europe again we are trying to write some people, and labels to help us to get there again.
Tell us something about your best and your worst memory on the road.
The road is always awesome..the worst memery was in italy.. the guy who organized the gig dessapear in the midlle of that, and the police came to cancel the show and we did not know what to do..beceause he dessapear with the money and we did not have place to sleep.. but we talked with a punk rocker and he took us to sleep and play in the squatt tha he lived and was great!
And the best was in europe too..when we play in berlin we talked to the guy who made thte gig and he said over here you have a letter..what? a letter? Yeah..in that letter german boy leave us his house keys and adress for we can go to eat and sleep.. a very sweet thing, because the giy listen to us by bandcamp and he did not go to the concert because he was in africa.. you see? Very beautiful thing.
What do you think of Livetrigger.com? Do you think it could be a good tool to facilitate the process of booking and organizing shows? Do you have any suggestions?
We think that is a really good way to book shows and meet people involved in that! We can suggest a list of venues and and contacts!
